No. Industrial gasses are the cause of global warming. I was really skeptical for a very long time, but there is just too much evidence.

As a scientist who is also conservative , I would say that so called "global warming" is caused by many factors. Those that seem sure that it is caused by CO2 concentrations are simply parrotting scientists who are mostly liberal. They chose to ignore contrary evidence. Yes the sun does change temperature. It also is not always the same distance away.

The media never seems to address the holes in the theory that C02 has been the driving force in global warming. They can't explain why temperatures began warming at the end of the Little Ice Age in the mid 1800s, long before man-made CO2 emissions could have resulted in the warming. Then in the mid 1900s, when human CO2 emissions rose sharply, the temperatures began a 30 year decline that lasted until the 1970’s. Then the popular scare was the coming ice age. If gadfly has been studying this for 38 years, she probably was worried about the coming ice age as well. Global warming is a political, not scientific phenomena. I think that if you are objective, you will notice that very little facts or evidence is provided regarding Global Warming except to impugn those who disagree and site so called "scientists."

I am a conservative as well, but I know the sun's rising temperature is not the reason for global warming. In fact if you look at evidence, it suggests that the planet has been warming for the past 10,000 years. Of course most so called environmentalists make graphs showing the temperature increase conveniently cut off during the US Industrial Revolution Era.

It's kinda' a red herring. There has been some data that indicates a 0.05% increase per decade in total solar output, but even that is suspect. This amount is incredibly small, and couldn't possibly cause any significant portion of the global warming that we have already seen, and what is predicted in the future.

hey- people believe in god with no evidence. Why not believe that global warming is caused by the methane produced by termites? Be a skeptic. Don't believe in what other people say until you test the hypothesis yourself!

I'm no physicist or astronomer, and it's been a long time since my college science courses, but I strongly doubt that's the cause. If the temperature of the sun did increase, I think that there would be major changes in the sun's size and color. That would have been noticed and reported by the scientific community.

So far, no studies have found enough change in solar output to account for the amount of warming. Those who argue that the Sun did it are acting like criminal defense lawyers - their client may be guilty, but they are trying to get the jury to doubt the facts.

Absolutely not. The sun does not change rapidly enough to make that much of a difference. The evolution of the sun is measured in billions of years, so while changes do take place, they are not quick enough for human beings to measure. However, because of wind, water, minerals, and atmospheric gasses, the earth can evolve quickly enough to be observed. Maybe humans are to blame and maybe we aren't, but the sun CANNOT change rapidly enough to cause global warming.

Cons will say anything to avoid taking responsibility and having to do something. Their attitude seems to be, let our kids deal with it, if there really is anything to worry about.
Global warming is a serious and deadly reality and is caused by industrialization and overpopulation.

I know this is my opinion but if you ask me global warming is completely natural. If you look back through history there have been many cases of it getting colder and water on earth. We had the Ice age and in years gone by it has been found that people have lived in places that are now uninhabitable because it is too cold.
