i have to have one tomorrow morning and i'm bit nervous.

they said it was a "nuclear bone scan", (sorry forgot that part)

they inject you with a radio active isotope and then you have to wait for 3-4 hours and then you go in a machine that kind of looks like a cat scan machine but it's not and then they can tell if it's infected or what by were all the white blood cells congregate to..they can also find out if you have any cracks or breaks anywhere.

There are two kinds of bone scans. One tests bone density and is used to diagnose osteoporosis, a condition in which the bones become weak and brittle. The other, known as scintigraphy, is used to discover the site of a stress fracture or the presence of arthritis, infection, or bone cancer.

It is a simple test. You have to remain still and lie on a table while the scanner passes over you. There is absolutely no pain, needles, or anything like that. It is an important test to determine your bone density. The test is a piece of cake though.

It is a simple procedure, dont get nervous.
Its like an xray that tells what your bones look like.
When it comes to bones, calcium rich foods help bones.
