Maddening. You just have to grit your teeth and wait for an opportunity to overtake and escape. I know someone who, in his exasperation, returned the compliment, overtook and slowed just in front of the offending car. The daft driver drove into him....

Yep all the time. If I pull out in front of someone, if I can I will accelerate firstly in case I had underestimated the distance between us (not done so before but you never know) meaning that the combined efforts of their braking and my accelerating should avoid any accident and secondly because they shouldn't have to slow down for you in the first place. Many people fail their tests for not breaking the speed limit in order to prevent sombody from having to brake when you pull in front of them so this I guess is a lesser crime. Certainly a safer choice.

Here, here! However, in defense of slow goers, sometimes its a car issue that demands slow speed at first. I'm sure you know how difficult it is to get out into traffic at some points. So when a driver sees a break in traffic, they usually go for it. I do believe it's not to intentionally aggravate other drivers

You bet. Normally an old chap with his wife who is stopping him from getting a move on.
They later travel at 45-50 on a dual carriageway, forcing two lanes into the outside to overtake.

Grrrrrr.

Yes but what is worse is when your driving 15 over on the expressway and some idiot is tailgating you. Then he gets off at the next exit ramp.

This always happens to me as i do a lot of city drivin in! i bloody hate it! really annoys me! then when you do get round them on a roundabout or sumin, they turn off that road! aaaah! why were they allowed to drive! it also really annoys me when people stay in the middle lane of a motorway, going 60 and theres no cars on the inside lane! so to overtake them you have to go all the way out then back in!

sorry to blabber on! really hit a soft spot with me, makes me sooo angry! lol

Yes! I so frigging hate that! If it wouldn't total my car and jack up my car insurance rates, I would just plow right into them. Maybe getting rear-ended by someone would help the idiots get a clue.

Yes. Or the one that overtakes you then slows down and turns off.
