make you clean my room and keep it clean but dont even keep theres clean? it's just not right!

I agree, it's very stupid. They probably have reasoning behind their actions, believe me, but it's impossible to undertand it untill you yourself become a parent, and you won't be able to catch yourself doing all the little things that bugged you so much when you were a kid. In life, you'll realize that many things are not fair, and you'll just have to live with it. Your parents, believe it or not, are being so annoying because they love you.

My room is messy but I make my kids clean theirs every week end. My room is filled with overflow from work and projects. I do not have dirty clothes on the floor, I do not have cookie crumbs in the bed and I do not have dirty dishes on my night stand. My kinds on the other hand do. Theirs is a different kind of mess that leads to bad smells if not cleaned.

Because it's all about control. Maybe they feel if they can make you keep your room clean you will get tired of seeing theirs dirty and clean it too.

To help teach you responsibility. Their room might not be clean but your laundry is done, dinner is made, grass is cut...they are doing a lot more than you are..

Because they are the parents and they want you to do as they say, not do as they do! But they are not setting a good example!

because it's their house and they pay the bills so can do what they want and when you get your own place you can have your own rules to follow but for now your under their roof and their rules
