Mostly projectors which are available in the market nowa days has the RCA input with which you can directly connect the TV to the projector with the RCA cable which is easily avilable in the market.

If you have a projector without a tuner, you will have to use a cable box to get the cable signal. If you are subscribed to cable, you should be able to get one from the cable company.

What you need is a Tuner. An RF-modulator, of the kind purchased at Radshack, BBY, etc..., will not accomplish what you want, they do the opposite of what you want. VCR, some DVD recorder, DVR/PVRs are all tuners that would work. You could also buy a standalone tuner.

if your tv is decent it should have RGB or OPTICAL or SVIDEO or RCA out and in's get your signal there. or run the signal straight into the projector. whatever type of connection you can find an adaptor for it
