I have a sore throat that I would like to be better by tonight, I have to give a speech at my school and we have to talk loudly because the microphones aren't the best.

Does anyone know some quick fixes?

#1 REMEDY: Cayenne Powder Cures Sore or Strep

We think the best remedy on this page for a sore throat (whether viral, bacterial or strep) is cayenne pepper. You may still need to continue the remedy for 2 - 3 days to see final results, so be patient! This remedy works when antibiotics do not.

Penny's Cayenne Pepper Remedy: Penny from Fresno, CA writes, "If it is too late, as in strep, it takes gargling with cayenne in water every fifteen minutes until it goes, and be patient, because it GOES. I haven't had a sore throat take hold in 15 years or more, though many have tried to start up, which also is a way for many illnesses to sprout. I generally will gargle cayenne in water at whatever strength I like and do it as much as I can until I tire of it, and then repeat every fifteen minutes, each time swallowing a tiny bit real slowly (not necessary). It only stings the tongue a little when spitting out, otherwise, no discomfort, you can get used to even the swallowing part when you see how well it works. I use the cheap Mex. stuff, but also keep on hand in refir the pesticide free stuff from health store. Cayenne is a miracle cure for ulcers and so many other conditions, plus aids assimilation of nutrients and vitamins. I will keep cayenne in water in the bathroom in case I get up in the night, so I can gargle once in the night if I am very sick, but if it is in water, it will go bad quickly and needs to be put back in refridge in morning. Afterwards suck on a clove (see below). I have never seen a sore throat that won't succumb to it."

RECIPE:

Cayenne pepper Add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to 1 cup of boiling water; stir well and gargle while mixture is very warm. This brings more circulation to the area and helps draw away the infection. To this formula you can add 4 parts echinacea, 1 part garlic bulb, and 2 parts peppermint leaves to 1 part cayenne.

try drinking ginger tea. u cut ginger (quantity depends on how bad it is. start with about the size of your 3 fingers put together for average pain. the worse it it, the more you need.) and mince it. boil it to about a mug of water. let it cool but you have to take it warm. it probably taste bad if its your first time since it is an acquired taste. dont drink anything, not even water after you drink it. the tea has to stick in your throat. thatshow we remedy our sore throats here in our country. i hope it works for you. by the way, you can strain it if you like. get well soon .

Chloraseptic works quite well. Choose your preferred flavor and gargle with it several times during the day. It works well as both an analgesic and antiseptic agent. You can find it at any drugstore or store with OTC remedies.
