Has any manufacturer developed a high-tech cane or walking stick with electronic gadgets embedded in the handle? If not, what sort of stuff would you like to see in such a tool?

Canes are primarily used by the elderly in today's world. I think some kind of medical device would be the most helpful, like one of those "Help I've fallen and I can't get up!" sort of things. If technology is good enough, perhaps one can use the cane to check (through the handle) their blood sugar, blood oxygen, etc.
