Do it if you want to but make sure you know what you're doing. If you're doing it at home, do a strand test to make sure you're not allergic. Depending on how blonde your hair is, you could be in for some major regrowth, but dyeing your hair is part of the fun of being a teenager. You are a teenager aren't you? Not 8 years old or something? Try reasoning with your mum. Tell her it will grow out, not like a tattoo and I bet she did it when she was young.

like someone said it depends how old you are. self dying your hair can be rather tricky and messy if you dont know what your doing and i dont think your mum would be very happy with hairdye everywhere. also if you go against what she has said she wont be pleased and shows you dont respect her.
how about you ask if you could have it done for your birthday as a special treat or maybe christmas. you could get a semi permanent colour which would last afew weeks to see if you like it or not. the worst thing is having something done to your hair and not liking it.
try and comprimise with her. im sure she would prefer you to do this and shows that you are grown up in mind.

Its ur choice and no matter what any one says you will probably doit any way. So im not gonna say dont do it. But what i will say is at 14 yrs old i wanted to dye my hair my mum said no and i did it any way. the more people said no the more i wanted to do it. Your probably thinking " WHATS THE BIG DEAL ITS MY HAIR ITS NOT GONNA HURT ANYONE" yeh ur right in thinking that but ur mum is probably right, wen i started dying my hair i thought do it once let it grow out but i was WRONG once it starts to grow out you think OH MY GOD the roots are showing and you end up doing ur hair every 6-8 wks just so the roots dont come through. i used to be blonde and wish i could go back tp my natral colour, mine used to be light blonde. I TRIED ONCE TO LET THE DYE GROW OUT AND TRY AND GET MY NATURAL COLOUR BACK BUT THIS DIDNT WORK MY NATRAL COLOUR KNOW I WILL NEVER KNOW AS NY ROOTS NOW GROW BACK DARK. if u must do ur hair try to compromise with ur mum, dont use a PERMANENT COLOUR try a WASH IN WASH OUT colour instead. its only natural as a young girl trying to find her individuality that you want to experiment with ur hair but be careful not to damage ur hair, if u really do want to do anything to ur hair try a new hair cut/different hairstyles. At end of day its ur decision and u probably think ur mum is just being awkward wen she is only wanting u to realise the damage that can be done, im sure r hair is beautiful so PLEASE dont ruin it. THE DECISION IS URS, WOULD U PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT U DECIDE TO DO.

If you have to ask, it means you are still young enough to be listening to your mother--please do!
There are mature women who will envy you for your natural color which I'm sure is the perfect compliment to your skin and eye coloring. Keep it shiny clean and healthy so that sunshine picks up your natural highlights. Time enough to color when the gray hairs start to appear.
If you're bored with your appearance, try some subtle changes with blush, eye shadow and lip gloss. The key word here is subtle. Note all the advertisements for mature women who are trying to regain their youthful appearance. Youthful is in! Keep it as long as you can.

How old are you? Will she be really upset? Do you really want to dye your hair (it's not good for it)?
Think; it will, have to grow out so how about try a temp one? You can get them from 8-60 washes...

No your mum knows what every girl knows when they get older and that's that once you start you can never stop and all you ever really want is to go back to how it was ,
You can go back to how it was but it means walking around for a couple of years looking like a scarecrow .
If you still want to do it imagine that the only way that you could go back once it's done is to shave your head .
mums know best .

It depend on how old you are.
Wait until you are older, and have more freedom to do what you want. Then you can dye it,but right now you should listen to your mum.

well it all depends on how old you are, what colour u want to colour it,have a chat with your mom and ask her why she wont want you to dye your hair. but if your mom says no and you do, she will be very upset and do you really want to disapoint her.

well u should listen to ur mother, but hey if u want to get a new look, try using a color mouse or a temporary color rinse for now, don't color ur hair yet- try out different temporary tints first to see how u like them, then decide if u want to color ur hair.
