that she comes around later on and tells me that the party was nice and that she forgot to send the invitation what kind of crap is that. any advice

sounds like an inconsiderate parent. you dont mention the age of the kids, maybe the birthday kid didnt want your kids there and the mom was inviting everyone she could. maybe gift hoarding. who knows, regardless, it was not good. very insensitive and inconsiderate. i hope your kids were not too upset about it.

She propably did forget. U knw what it like to be a busy mom right?? Cut her some slack. And if its still eating u up on the inside, give her a atste of her own medicine. Teach her a lesson. let her knw that there is no excuse for being so rude. DO THE EXACT SAME THING TO HER. If shes not stupid, shell put two and two together. I guarantee u she wont make the mistake again

sounds like the person was just trying to be nice at the time but never was really commited to asking you to come. why she told you that the party was great after and that she forgot to send the invite was very strange....Don't associate with her

kids are kids - there are no reasons why they do things - they don't realize that they hurt others. best thing is to just forget about it, have your own party-halloween is coming, great reason to have a party- and forget to send this girl an invitation. she'll realize how it feels to be left out. tell your kids not to let this girl's ignorance bother them - she wasn't a friend!

Sounds like this person is not a very good friend. If she is a friend you want to keep, tell her you are upset over the fact that you weren't told when the party was. If she apologizes, accept it and move on or cut her out of your life.

How old is she, I am guessing very young sinve you have this listed under toddler/preschool. She did not send out invits her mom did, & her excuse sounds mom feed too! Don't be mad at the child!

Let it roll off your back. She could have forgotten, or she could be deliberate in her attempt to be mean. If it bothers you, don't speak with her anymore. Life is too short to waste it worrying. Find a new friend!
