Do you believe medium/psychics really speak to the dead?

Question

If you believe in the bible then is it right to belive mediums talk to the dead? I do believe there are demons on earth. I've read that mediums are just talking to demons that transformed themself to look like a certain deceased person. If you believe in God shouldn't you believe what the bible says happens after death? Just wondering other people's opinions. Thanks

I believe they are talking to the devil & his demons & messengers.

God has a place to put people who die. Those redeemed by the blood of the lamb go to heaven. These are part of the 1st resurrection. The second death has no authority over them.

Those who haven't been redeemed by the blood go to a place of rest with other dead, to a place where the dead are in the sea, or to a place where the dead are in hell fire. All these will be part of the 2nd resurrection, where people are judged according to their works. And those whose names aren't found in the books of life will be thrown into the lake of fire, the second death.

If you question where your loved ones went after they died, the best thing to do is to ask God in Jesus name. God will answer. If you go to mediums, God isn't in it because it is superpowers other than God. It is idolatry.

I think that there are those with abilities enabling them to communicate with spirits masquerading as dead people. And then there are those who are communicating with nothing and do a very good job convincing others that they really are. I've wondered about that. The messages received always seem to indicate that those deceased have somehow arrived on the "other side" and are doing fine. Then some other person will inquire about a phobia, maybe an irrational fear of spiders or something, and will then be informed about having died after being bitten by a thousand black widows in a previous lifetime. And so what really happens when you die? Heaven or Hell? You get reincarnated so you can learn what it is you failed realize the first three hundred lifetimes? Or do we all end up in some Utopian "other side" kind of place from which we are able to communicate to our loved ones back on planet earth with the help of a medium? Or maybe we get transmigrated into a lower life form as a bug so that we can get stepped on as our due reward for having killed many cockroaches and torturing ants with magnifying glasses. I think people have a hard time accepting death and it makes them feel better to think that they're still somehow experiencing a connection between themselves and their dead loved ones. And knowing this,there are those who are more that willing to capitalize on this.

I don't be live in the current mediums because they are a bunch of liars that seem to use random names and events to make people believe them.

If they were real they would know the persons entire name not just an initial. It is strange to me that they have to keep asking the dead person question after question when if they actually were speaking to a dead person they would just give them the information.

These so called mediums play 20- questions with the supposed ghost or spirit and then prior to you meeting the medium they have you fill out a paper with lots of information on it about the person you want to contact. That tells me the only person mediums are contacting is your pocket book with their lies.

Mediums are just good liars and God has nothing to do with. The only demon you talking to when you talk to a medium is the "money demon"

is it "right" for you to talk to me? its not "wrong"...

"the dead" are still people, and if they are there for the medium to talk to, theres a reason.

the bible I find trustworthy(the old testament) does not disagree with this in any way.

I've talked to a close friend through a mutual friend who is a medium, on several occasions, a few of them providing information that nobody involved could have known except for the person who was no longer living. ... including me. the information was relevant, and new to everyone who was still alive, that was involved.

I've personally communicated with the no longer living (though its about a bazillion times easier when you have a medium relaying or channeling... and I've communicated with others in both ways.

people who don't know what they are talking about will say its demons, but really thats nonsense and fear talking.

see... if ghosts really are real... thats not "dealt with" by their religious/spirtual beliefs... its a glimpse of a part of the world that they are entirely unaware of, ... blind to.. and that is not dealt with by their beliefs.

so it scares them. its really quite rational for them to be afraid of it, and deny the truth, but when you've experienced it directly... well, can you deny gravity, or the wind? not really.

but, with that in mind... some ARE fake. and some are real, but "supplement" their real stuff with fake stuff, (see... its not always consistent in the information gathered... it only works "well" when its NEEDED and constructive.... you can't neccesarily always gather the information wanted, at will.)

thats incorrect. God grants these "powers" I know its hard for you to believe, but its true.

I lost my father in a fire 2 years ago, about 1 year after A guy came to work at my office, when he walked by my desk a few times I got the feeling he wanted to say something to me one day he said I see A really good aura around you there is a spirit over your right shoulder, I said what do you mean? He said its a person who went by "Chuck" he is very proud of you and will be there to guide you in any problems, I said that was my dads name then the guy said the name of a place that we went to growing up on "a very special family trip" {a very uncommon name} and said my dad wanted him to say that to let me know it was realy him . Many other things were told to me at that time that there is no way he could have researched even with the help of my closest friends or relatives . I was never a believer before this experience and this guy was no "paid" psychic but I now know that there are people with the gift his was definitely true and it wasn't an evil type reading nor flowery just facts only my dad would have known...

Often people say they have talked with the dead. The late James A Pike, a prominent Episcopalian bishop said he talked with his dead son, Jim. According to Pike, his son told him:"I have masses of people around me, and hands lifting me up, as it were...I was so unhappy until I could make you know."
Since such experiences are so common, it is evident that many people have spoken with someone from the spirit world.But they have not talked with the dead. The Bible is very clear
when it says:"As for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all"(Ecclesiastes9:5) So if it is not the dead who are speaking from the spirit world, who are speaking? Who are pretending to be dead persons?
Wicked spirits are. These spirits, or demons. are the angels who joined Satan in his rebellion against God. Why do they pretend to be persons who have died? It is to advance the idea that the dead are still living. Wicked spirits have also led many to believe the lie that death is only a change to another life. to spread this lie, wicked spirits provide fortune tellers, psychics and sorcerers with special knowledge that only seems to come from persons who have died.

I, being a Muslim, believe in the existience of Jinn, but unlike devils, Jinn have free will and can be good or bad. Shaytaan(Satan) is also a Jinn.

I think the mediums actually speak to these Jinn when they pretend to be talking to dead people. I believe that after death a person is in no position to talk to live people.

You are 100% right my friend. Once a person is dead, that's it for them. You'll find a lot of different answers here. But people are communicating with demons. That's pretty scary. I would leave them alone. Not to let them get a grip on your life.

I think you will find that religions, and especially fanatical religions, tend to separate and divide people, whiles spirituality brings people together. Please don’t confuse religion for Spirituality and God!
