I don't think those who have abortions justify it. They are simply lied to about it. They are not given the true facts about the killing of the baby.

To KJA - it is NOT her body and her right to "decide." It is a SEPERATE and distinct human being growing inside of her. The mother's body is there to provide for the baby. Without the mother's body, the baby would die. Therefore it is the mother's RESPONSIBILITY to provide a nurturing environment for the baby.

Folks like to justify this in legal terms; austere and textual. But, I find it interesting that even in the simplest of legal proceeding such as bankruptcy or trials, months can pass as part of the process. What if, at the initiation of every abortion, there was a court ordered injunction to review the case specifics. Even under the "right to speed trial" guidelines, the cellular blob would be clearly a developing human before the case would even go to hearing.

Kind of hard to justify abortion then, isn't it.

Abortion is a very conflicted issue for me. I can't understand how a woman can be pushed to make a decision such as terminating her pregnancy but I do have empathy. A decision like that isn't a piece of cake like so many fundamentalists portray the women that chose to have an abortion ( sluts, irresponsible brats etc..)
I can't condone it but I can't condemn it either.
I know this doesn't help but my confusion probably illustrates why so many are torn over this subject. I have both sides in me but I can't pick which. Either way, abortion or not, it's still a tragedy.

i dont believ in abortion one bit part from if you have been raped.i watched a video being catholic and saw what goes on and think this should be shown to more people and not ev one knows what truely goes on! The babys heart rate during the abortion goes up showing that the baby can feel pain and whats happening to it. anything with a heart seen or not seen is a living thing that only god has the right to choose when something has to go for a purpose. i would class that as murder you couldnt not class it as not as anything killed that has a heart beat is murdering and is worng the baby didnt ask to be there did it?

By ignoring the fact that it's a human being and calling it a "choice" or "blob of cells" they justify murder. It's much like what Hitler did to the Jews. I don't want to watch when abortion doctors and "Planned Parenthood" face God for their actions. Lord have mercy on their souls.

I just love this question and answers like, Kja63's. Course a woman could chose to not have sex but don't argue that fact. Terrorists want to kill us, and they site a reason for that. We call their victims, "innocent." Women abort babies and call that "choice." And the unborn are the single most innocent of us all. Go figure ! I will never figure out how any woman could ever make that "choice" and not have it haunt her all the rest of her life. Oh yeah, don't forget the pat anwers: "rape and incest." Still don't see how a raped woman's baby is any less innocent, but such is life or not life, as the "choice" dictates.

It's easier to justify abortion when you realize how many have been killed in the name of God. People protest the taking of life from abortion but not taking life for religion killing. Something's definitely wrong with this picture.

It's a woman's right to choose. Abortion, in and of itself, is a horrible thing. But the choice belongs to the woman. It's her body and her right to decide.

They really don't unless their is a medical need for it (life and death situation). It has been proven by psychologists that eventually it affects a womans mind. That is, someday down the line, your guilt will not leave you alone.

It is not a matter of justification or not. I personally do not believe in abortion, but it is not my right, or the right of the state, to dictate this to someone who may feel differently.
