Lots of garlic - fresh stuff. Also, pickle juice works - drink some and eat the pickles. Drink alot of room temp water. Really a lot!!!!! I swear this works. I haven't had a cold (full fledge) for at least six years! I get just a few little systoms, start eating pickles and garlic and the symptoms disappear with in 4 - 6 hours.

You need to be eating a good diet and getting the vitamins and minerals your body needs to keep your immune system strong.
Supplementing with zinc and echinacea helps most people during the cold season. Also having the correct humidity in your home, so that your nose is not getting dry and cracked. Which is how pathogens can enter your body.

My old Chemistry Professor, Dr. Trimble, said if you catch the cold at its onset and drink a gallon of orange juice at one setting then it will be nipped in the bud so to speak.

Actually, you need to cut out all sweets, drink lots of water, get some vitamin C and rest and you should be fine. Sugar tends to slow down our recovery.
I heard one guy say at a seminar that's it's one step away from crack. LOL
But you will be fine if you follow that regimen.
Also, if you feel up to it, exercise (a good sweat) can also help. Tried it myself and it works.
