I think they just use the agent's name.

Now the projects I think may have a code name.

These days M16 is very different in naming agents,
last year they were given colour codes, like blue apple, and green keyboard, We even had one who wa called pink panties. (deep undercover) and black overcoat meaning Body gaurd to the chief of M16

This year I heard they are coded
FBT 10 TO SBB 36
meaning f u c k e d by tony
