I've heard of the traditional Scottish martial art of headbutting. Maybe the English equivalent is a good bottling?

Yeah, it's called Medieval re-enactment training or medieval martial disciplines. Basically it's stuff like the longsword, quarterstaff, spear and longbow. But it's pretty rare to find and you'll have to look carefully to find a class.

Defendo was originally developed before the First World War. It was subsequently taught to British soldiers to help them to survive if trapped behind enemy lines. Although not British(actually Canadian) it's about as close as you will get, given that it was originally used by our boys in the trenches. Try it, you might like it!

Shove a chip in each nostril of your opponent. Severly affects their breathing. Laughing at them then demoralizes. Hit them in the head with a Doc Marten.

My first though was that this might be an organisation to assist putting on events, keeping schools from ripping of students, but 'Morris dancing' & 'ecky thump' sounds more likely

Yes, I can't remember where I saw it, but there's definitely a website and people who practice them.
Mainly a kind of wrestling, quarter staff, that kind of thing.
There's some info on the link below.
