Yes. Foxwoods is a great casino. Nice and new and clean. Its like a little city in there. And they got a great poker room.

I went there earlier this year and dropped about 7 bills, but had fun getting drunk off of the $10 worth of cheap well vodka that I tipped waitresses $23 for. It was also cool stumbling around from 3-4am trying to find the damn hotel tower in the maze of shops. And don't forget to hit the coffee bar the next morning for a $4 small coffee and $8 week-old scone while the seniors fumble for their slot card for 2% off an order of $10 or more.

Never been to Foxwoods but, obviously, all casinos are there to make money. If you play any game (other than poker) - the edge is ALWAYS with the house - over the long-run - you WILL lose money in these games, even if you have some occasional wins.

Poker is the only exception because you're not playing against the house - the casino makes their money & it doesn't matter who wins or loses. But all other games are a losing proposition over the long haul.

Yes and no. And I guess it all depends on what you do there. A friend of mine just won $27,000 on the penny slot machine two weeks ago and she was only on it about 15 minutes. She goes there quite often and has pretty good luck just playing the slots. MY hubby and I agree on a certain amount of money to spend and when it is gone, we quit. Sometimes, we come out ahead. The worst casino to lose your money real fast is Cherokee in N.C. My hubby put in $60.00 in the 25cent slots and never got back one quarter. They say that if you want to get scalped , go to Cherokee. They do have a wonderful buffet there tho.

I was just there a couple of weeks ago for my friend's birthday. We were up and down all night - we gambled til 6am in the morning!! The roullette wheel is our favorite. I didn't lose all my money - but she did.

They have a great buffet!!!

I've gone a few times just to ask random hot women if I could be their Lucky Chip. It hasn't worked yet, but I keep trying.
