I wouldn't have wasted my breath arguing with her.
Take it with a pinch of salt!
Don't worry about it!

You weren't rude, some people are happier miserable.

In response to Pobept

The customer is only right taken in context. It's a lie. Only if there is sound reason that the customer is right, and it won't cause you to loose business. Then you are right. You can only go so far out of your way to help a customer.

You did your best to answer her but one word of advice. Next time someone gets aroused by your 'rudeness' just ignore that person completely... it's not worth the arguing. :) And you'll be the bigger person.

you should have just let her talk while you were ringing her up and offered her a manager if she was so damn mad,she was obviously in the wrong, being on the cell phone, how were you supposed to know if she was ready?she was busy, but i wouldn't have said a word,i would have gotten her out of there asap.i would have offered the manager at "if i was your mom" that's harassment, people like that are not worth it,she probably has a miserable life if she can talk to strangers like that, especially ones that treat people that wait on them like that.i hope you don't have to deal with that for a while, but alot of people don't have the common courtesy to hang up the damn phone long enough to be waited on by a living breathing human being.i see this all the time when i shop, and i gladly take the chance to cut in front of someone that is too busy to be waited on while waiting in line, mabey ill get to do that today:)

You're not rude, you just got rattled and said personal stuff. Don't hit customers with that, even if they try to bait you. But in that situation, I can see how you could have blurted it out. In retrospect, you could just try to remember that the other customers saw that you tried to do the right thing, and now you can just make an exaggerated apology to the lady and just get her on her way, while the others applaud you. In other words, you can't save the situation with the crabby one, but you can redeem yourself in the eyes of the others.

I guess she was either having PMS or just a bad day. You did nothing wrong, in fact, most people wouldn't have let her go as far as she did. I have had this happen before, and before she got the 3rd curse word in, I told her to keep her words to a minimal because there are small children around, and hr language was not appropriate. She really loved that! hehehe :o)

I deal with the whole cell phone every day so I know exactly what your talking about. I work at a fast food restaurant and people will expect me to sit there and wait for them to get finished talking and then take their order, even when there is a line. It drives me wild but I dont think you did anything wrong. I would have told her "listen lady your the rude one, maybe you should take your ear outta that damn cell phone and pay attention" but thats just me lol.

Don't let it bother you!! I personally comend you for not Really losing your temper(I'm not sure I would have been able to do the same, given those circumstances)...know that there is just no pleasing some people and what she did(which was very nasty and rude)will come back and visit her. and I don't think you were rude either you tried to polietly ask her to move up....
Blessed Be!!

Nothing you can do. You will find working with the public there are all sorts of people. Let it roll off and move on. If you are doing everything you can to be nice, then that is it. Everyone has a bad day, or a bad week. Being in the public you will meet them all.

You weren`t really rude. Serving the public can be very difficult at times. You should have said "I`m sorry you feel that way, how can I help you" Hard to do I know but it`s all part of the job.

You weren't rude.

You encountered a woman who has no control over her life, and in order to have some sort of control over something, she took her aggression out on you.

Don't take it too personally. I have to deal with people like this on a daily basis. They are just sad people.

hey dear
does'nt matter what people / strangers think of you,as don't allow them and their comments to affect you.they hardly care,as they always speak as per their moods.may be some times even we do the same.being rude is out of the question.always keep one thing in mind-do not let anybody's decesion or comment overcome your confidence in yourself.and trust me start doing it from today,it will help you ahead in life.
one more important thing,always remember:
Tension lenekaa nahe Tension denekaa.
