They are a quality confection and worthy to be called delicious. They make a perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea and can be dunked for several seconds without fear of becoming over soggy, or worst of all breaking up and spoiling you brew. If I was to be overly critical I would mention their ability to stick between your teeth. However, I prefer not to be so fussy. Ginger is also an aphrodisiac and is one of the more pleasant smells one can have on your breath; so they become a win-win addition to your biscuit tin.
Enjoy!!

Ginger nuts are in my opinion an excellent addition to the store cupboard.
I have to agree with all the dunking fans, but though I normally try and stick to generally observed rules of etiquette - I do have one bizarre habit.
If when feeling it appropriate, I match a wine with each course, and allow plenty of red wine to be available for the main course because I have a cheese selection which will allow for any remaining red wine to be partnered successfully - then what do I do if as the Cheese course approaches, my palate cries out for something a little sweeter.
Well, I dunk Ginger Nuts in the Red Wine, it does not sound like a good match but for me it works very very well.

Somehow I doubt you're referring to biscuits :0)
Any type of nuts are fine as long as they're washed regularly!! But beware, messing with ginger nuts often produces ginger babies!

I can't decide if I like them either! They are a very unusual biscuit and one once in a while is quite nice!

Yes, they are great - especially with a cup of tea.
They don't seem to work quite the same with coffee - and avoid them with cocoa or Hot Chocolate (sorry, Errol).
The organic 'Duchy of Cornwall' one's someone mentioned above are great if you can get hold of them!
Not sure about 'Herb.Master's dunking habits... but I am intrigued enough to (maybe) try it out!

I love them, particularly for dunking in tea (they don't break and fall in!). The best thing is, most brands are suitable for Vegans - Co-op are my current favourites!
