They could totally take the bath water and use it to water their little soybean plants, too.

If you consider the amount of people in the world that don't bathe or don't have the opportunity to bathe, I think you will find that the relatively small amount of people not showering at the commune are not significantly contributing the "funkification" of our air. That being said, as long as you practice basic hygiene you don't need a full shower every day unless you are really getting sweaty. My son had eczema when he was little and his pediatrician advised NOT showering every day if he was not actually dirty to prevent his skin from drying out so much.

The North American practice of bathing/showering 2/3 times a day is overkill. One day the water supplies will be severely restricted and you will think twice about bathing. There are other ways to stay clean without running a tub full of hot water.
While it is nice to be able to shower every day, it is a luxury.

well fortunately they do bathe! usually in their own urine and dribble,masked with lavender perfume!WOWWEE
