Go to a steam-bath and turn your head slowly to the left and to the right for approximately twenty times then move your head up and down for another twenty times you may find more comfortible after that.

Firmly grasp the meaty part of the back of your neck. The grip should be done with the palm of your hand and the flat surfaces of your fingers (not the tips). Hold that grip for about a minute then release SLOWLY. Using the same grip, grasp the meaty muscles that run from the neck to the top of each shoulder (called the trapezius). This is an acupressure technique that is very effective for sore necks AND headaches.

Well, there has to be an odd one in every group.
I have sometimes found that cold compresses work better than warm.
Also, there is a over-the-counter product-Aspercream-that I sometimes use for such purposes. I will rub on temples, forehead, neck, and sometimes works wonders.
Just adding my experiences. Never had migraines but have many headaches from other causes. Good luck.

Heating pad. Do NOT force your head to move if it doesnt want to move. It will get better as the day goes on.
I hate it when that happens :(
