in the journey that they stayed and went above and previous the overall settlement (through fixing some thing free of can charge), at minimum a modest $20 for lunch or a short dinner... in the journey that they extremely placed on a tutor and replaced trim (outdoors of the settlement), then easily it would want to be polite to contemplate a fifty spot... yet typically, when you consider that abode Depot and Lowes receives a fee up the front (that's BS), they typically do not stick round very lengthy or come back even as some thing is going incorrect... You get what you pay for...

I agree with Mel C. I'm a tile installer and I get tips. If the installer is neat , courteous, and on time, yeah give him a tip, its the store that makes the money, installers dont make that much.

Please yes. If you're happy with the job show your appreciation.
Their knees gets damaged after 2 years and they suffer for a life time.
I gave 20 each (what ever you can afford, people who don't need money won't do this job anyway. )
Installers don't make money the company sends them makes it. Most! Installer works on time or project base on a fixed budget

No, they make enough as it is! About 75% of what you're paying goes in their pocket. That's a huge tip, don't ya think?

maybe you should have posted this question under "Etiquette".
It is discretionary. Whatever you can afford that you think is appropriate. When I say appropriate consider these factors: how long the installation takes, the quality of service they provided and your overall satisfaction.

Depends how good of a job, how well their professionalism is. You're not under obligation to tip, it's your choice

You got a quote before they started .... then thats the price .... they're doin' the job for the price you agreed on ... why would you give 'em more ... if they wanted more they would have quoted you more .....
If you got so much you just need to give it away .... send some my way :)
