I bought a software on which its written cd/dvd. dvd drive is not there in my pc but demonstration of software

is working but not the actual program . please guide me whether there is defect in cd itself or I need to have dvd drive because someone told me that if it would have been a dvd , the DEMO shouldn't also have worked.It can be installed well but later computer shows error saying active component cannot be created.

since they have written CD/DVD. it should work on both CD as well as DVD writers. go to the vendor and get a replacement.
