we ask because we have doubts. remember, someone has told us that god exists, and someone has told us that he doesn't. this is their opinion for whatever reason they hold it. do we trust an others opinion ?
some have been conditioned by religious faiths, and some have rejected their conditioning, but we have all been influenced by them. this is another the reason we ask if their is a god.

Dear, I dont think so. In my opinion the people who are weaker in faith or dont have any faith, they often ask such questions. The strongest believers never ask such questions. No doubt there is a God, Who commands the whole systems of the universe.

Because we are constantiy questioning and our questions change dependent upon or frame of mind at the time. Sometimes I see or hear of something and know there is a god, other times I see or hear something and know there couln't possibly be a god and at other times I am having such a good time I don't care one way or the other.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd. That is why I ask, "How the hell can you believe in gods?"

We, collectively , do not ask that question. Those without faith ask it. Those with faith know. Those who don't want faith could care less and don't ask either.

Tell me is the whole world wrong, how many believers an how many non believers, are you sure you are here not somewhere else, how do you know you are here.

Are you alive at all is the sky blue or is it black, are you in control or is something in control of you.
