why is it that catholics a so call huge religion all around the world would start a trip to the casinos i don't mean everone is doing it but here where i live in new jersey a catholic church is raising money so they can take a trip to the casinos i don't think jesus would like that at all. i don't even think he would like people to send there kids trick or treat when knowing that haloween is evil but we are to blind to see the bad in halloween but i guess no one cares anymore i guess jesus is not an importance in peoples live like before that's why we live in the world we live in. everone is sick they pay for money for this and that when jesus christ can do it for free. but we have little faith also we only see jesus on sundays becaue we feel we need some church and if we don't feel like it then we don't go. it's like everone wants to be saved and go to heaven but are not living the way jesus wants us to live mad at our family or alwas cursing or sexual desires. Jesus is coming soon.

Jesus doesn't mind gambling! Why should he? He thinks Halloween is a joke like the rest of us. Don't forget we were all made in God's image. So we all have a sense of humour and enjoy life. You are too serious. God isn't so serious. You are the one who is wrong.

Being Catholic or for that fact any other religion doesn't mean you are being judged every minute of everyday. GOD never intended for that to happen. Being a good christian mean believing in God an his ways. Nobody is perfect all the time and if they think they are i don't want to be around that person. I use to go to church every Sunday with my kids. Than they started playing club soccer with a lot traveling. If seem every Sunday we would miss church. I had to make a decision, disappoint my kids or let them play. My whole life i have done everything for my kids so it was an easy decision. I'm still a good christian and haven't been burned in hell for not going to church. Keeping people interested in Church or even God is a tough thing to do in today society. So if going to Las Vegas or doing anything that keeps people coming back or believing is well worth it. Enjoy religion

I am not a christian myself, but I do agree with a lot you have said here we are in the last days that is for sure. in matthew it gives a list of things that will happen in the last days. the only thing left in that list now is the coming of Christ. Every thing else has come to pass. as for the catholic church their isn't a whole lot of stuff they do that God agrees with. in 333 a. d. the catholic church changed Gods sabbath from saturday to sunday. people have told me you believe in the jewish sabbath. I believe in the sabbath God created at creation week the seventh day of the week 2,500 years before the first jew live on this earth. halloween is a pagan holiday as is christmas, the catholic church started both of these holidays. but in this day and age we don't get to enjoy much so we have to find our happiness some way. I was a christian for 14 yrs I no the do's and don'ts. there has to be some happiness somewhere in this life.

There's nothing wrong with gambling, and people realize this deep down, even if they have religious superstitions.

Halloween is not evil. It's a fun holiday where you get to use your imagination and eat too much candy.

Jesus is not coming soon. If he existed at all, he's dead now.

Sorry, but you really should think about what is right and wrong instead of just blindly following what was spoon-fed to you. You are morally lazy. Yes, there are bad things about gambling, but there are good things, too. You haven't thought about it in that way, because you've been taught "gambling = evil" but nothing past that. The same holds true of Halloween, and anything else in life.

Unlike what you've been fed by your pastors and priests, the world really isn't black and white. You can't just slap a label of "good" or "evil" on everything. Good and evil aren't characteristics of things. They are characteristics of your judgments of things. And, ultimately, it is you who is judging whether something is good or bad. Other people may judge differently.

BTW, cursing isn't bad. Neither are sexual desires. You've really bought into a bad rap, IMO. I feel really sorry for you. Hopefully, as you get older, you'll realize what a load of crap they've fed you.

I always had issues with this myself. As a child, (brought up Catholic) I was taught that Jesus went into the temple and threw over the sellers and traders tables and said "my temple should be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of theives". Isn't this what the Catholics are doing by raising money this way?

modern-day technologies and the undeniable fact that each and every thing is fairly common in recent times has grew to become mankind into lazy a$$es. Even interpreting something over seems lots too tiring for some human beings. Others merely seem to have a difficult time with their spelling.

Site your source. Maybe they are not going to gamble. Some casinos also have conference rooms and traveling anyplace costs money.

As for Halloween, it's so comercalized that it doesn't resemble any of the cultures that started it.

I think christianity is going through a minor explosion of sorts, and many new people are being drawn to it. This brings much controversy and confusion. People like you need to stand strong and continue to help others understand the meaning of life, and the importance of the Lords wishes. These things happen, but in the long run their wastes and ignorance will turn to understanding and love. Give them time and make your concerns known. You are important to the outcome.

I'm not Christian, but I have an answer for you to think about. Christianity teaches about a personal savior. I posted a question that received no answers: How has God done something personal in your life? In other words, how does he get us through this life? I'm looking for a specific event in your life.
