The car is great, but becareful when you get into aging vehicles, you don't know where and what that vehicle has been through-- go to carfact. com and find out.

All volvos are known as safe cars. My frined had an 87 760 and he loved it. It took a few parts here and there, but he took good care of it and it ran well. I would suggest seeing if you can maybe have a mechanic look at it first. A few easy car lot tests are to look underneath for any fluid, drive it to see how it feels, and whenyou are done with the test drive pop the hood and take the oil cap off and see if you can smell burning oil, and look for white spots on the underneath of the cap. Like i said though, if the car is in good conditiont o start with, it is very safe and will last you a long time. Good Luck!

all volvo cars are very good,strong,safety,alittle maintanance,but its heavy weight cars, i drove them in my work duty for many years,but the small model 340 wat not sucssesful for mountain drive.
