"The New Testament does not use the word "Τριάς" (Trinity), but only speaks of God (often called "the Father"), of Jesus Christ (often called "the Son"), and of the Holy Spirit, and of the relationships between them. The word "Trinity" began to be applied to them only in the course of later theological reflection."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Trinity

Matthew 28:19: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (see Trinitarian formula).
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." together with John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." and John 1:18 "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known."

Does this help?

Please read:

rs p. 405 pars. 1-2 Trinity ***
The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

*** rs p. 406 par. 1 Trinity ***
In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

You will notice that Jesus and Paul did not believe in a trinity:

(Romans 15:4-6) . . .” 4 For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

True Christians recognize that Jesus is the Son of God and not God the Son.

Book of John 1:1 - This pertains to the Deity of Christ. In this passage the Word is Jesus Christ. "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him (Jesus) and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." The Trinity word is not used in the Bible - but it means Godhead - Three Spirits of God - the Godhead - God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, God the Holy Spirit - all three the same Spirit but with different purposes. God the Father - Creator; God the Son Jesus Christ - Savior, God incarnate on this earth; God the Holy Spirit - Comforter, God within us when we become saved. I pray this helps you. I can try to find more Scriptures but very busy right now. Blessings to you and I pray you find the Truth - which is Jesus Christ - He is Truth.

The trinity is a central factor controversy ( some say deception) among all religions and mythologies on earth. The entire idea stems from Babylon where the ruling family taught their own divinity.

Daddy was God. Junior, daddy's seed, was the Son of God. Daddy's favorite wife was elevated to divinity as the Mother of God. All their subjects lived happy ever after as God intended?

Christianity became a threat to the Roman Empire because it did not offer any God but one. The early Christians presented a Father God, spirit, who took on a human body called Jesus. A body which had been created by God and incubated in the womb of a young woman named Mary.

Here than was God in the flesh presented to man, having no natural daddy and a simple young Hebrew girl; who also had no claim to diviinity and would even loose her virginity after the birth of the Christ.

This messed up pagan religion because Caesar was God, Pharoah was God; in fact to this point most of the ruling families or religious cults of the world claimed to be God or be in the special favor or light of a god or gods.

The spirit that was in the body of Jesus was Jehovah God. God,
the creator of the universe, born in a manger -- without beginning and without end.**

**Well this put an end to earthly religious systems. It was a threat to their money and power then and it is a threat to this very day. Jesus said to baptise in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Less than two weeks later St. Peter was baptising in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Chrisitians immersed in the named of the Lord Jesus Christ for nearly 300 years; until false teachers were able to assert themselves over the true faith..

The word trinity is not in the Bible, therefore many reject it. But, if you get into Hebrew and Greek words, you will find their words that describe the same meaning, as in raptee, a catching away together in the air. the word for rapture. It is still real. Same with trinity. The Bible descirbes a triune God, three that work as one together in the Godship. triune. 3 in one. Only after much study, and more than I could write here, will you see the trinity is true. In the Bible it says Gods is God, that Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, yet says there is only ONE God. There is only one, but the three operate together as ONE. This is not easy to explain or understand. Takes much time in study and prayer to understand thi s and many things in the Bible. God doesnt say to just read the Bible. He tells us to study it, and to test all things against the Bible. So if someone tells you anything, that you cant prove by the Bible, we are to reject it. It is a GOOD thing tho that you are asking intelligent questions. I questioned the trinity for years. and was told it was false. Only after years of study on my own, taking it seriously and staying in prayer, did it become so clear to me. The Bible is that way, you must take it serious and know God wants you to understand, thats why He calls us all to study it, meditate ( think) upon it. Never let me or anyone else tell you what to believe. Its dangerous. Even Bible scholars can be in error. The devil loves to deceive, and the Bible says he man deceive even the very elect. I too dont have all the answers. NOone does. But, I do know what I know, and I am still studying and learning all the time. You get in and read the Bible yourself. Study it, Pray about it. One suggestion that some gave me, and I loved it and it works. Read a Psalm every day or a Proberbs. so much wisdom there. As ;you are seeking wisdom, you will find it. Never let anyone, including somepreacher tell you what to think. some believe in the trinity , some dont. same with rapture or anything else. It only matters what God thinks, and to know that you must study His word and get to know Him personally. Instead of seeing it as oh wowow, so much to learn and getting weary of it. See it as this huge big adventure, what it is, and soon you will learn all you need to learn. What we seek, we find . God says that. and also, claim Gods promises. Just say aloud every day I WILL LEARN ALL GOD WANTS ME TO LEARN> that is faith. and before you know it, so much begins to open up to you. And obey what you do learn. God tells us blessings come from obedience. the more you want to know, the more He will teach you, if you obey it. Why would Got lead us to a new truth, only to watch us ignore it and do as we please. We serve an Awesome God, that knows our every thought and action. Ya cant fool God. So, if you ar really searching, you will find it. Many athiests will say I dont believe it and dont want to know. What if they are wrong. Hell is a horrific price to pay, and remember God doesnt send anyone there. A person sends themself there by refusing to accept God. If they wont love and accept God, why would they be in Heaven, ruining it for the rest of us, and being miserable there themselves. I tell every athiest I meet, before youtotally reject GOD, stop listening to anyone, even me, get in there and study and find for yourself, and God will give you truth, if you ask. Better to be safe than sorry I say. Heard that from dear ol Granny years ago, and it still works for me. Let us know on this site what you find. I am praying for you. God loves you, so do I. and do remember, no sin is too big for God to forgive and keep on loving you. He doesnt give up on us easy. He is pretty persistant. He only gives up when we have convinced Him that is our hearts desire, and we will not change our mind. So, it becomes really up to us. If we choose God, we choose Heaven. Choice is a beautiful thing. God doesnt want little robots serving HIM becase they HAVE to. He wants us to serve Him because we love HIM. Good luck and God bless you in your search for truth.
