Halal existed even before Christianity and Islam began. So this is not exclusive for the Muslims.

Halal is a middle eastern term for "praise". That is why Christians praise God by saying "Alleluiah"....actually this came from the word Halal (hallaluiah).

So if you want to make any type of food Halal....then just praise God for the grace that you have, bless the food, then chow to the max!

Fish is hala when its taken out of the water alive, then dies afterwards. If you take out already dead, through it back in the water again, you cannot eat a dead thing.
