Examine their behavior in details first. You don't want to be embarrassed. When the two of you got together for a talk, ask her but indirectly, just to know her opinion about that kind of stuff.Maybe she doesn't want to share her boyfriend. Through the talk, you will know whether she is apt for that kind of sex or not,and than feel free to join them

I say go for it. If you really feel that she's giving you clues as to whether you should join, then why not. The worst thing that could happen is your roomate give you "the eyes"
