He may have had another reason he lost the "E" and did not want to talk to you about it.
There could be a million reasons. The one that comes to mind is that maybe he is cheating on you and was not aroused at the time.
There are other men. Grieve. Dance. Curl up with your favorite blanket and stuffed animal. Cry. Take some bubble baths in candle light.
Then get out there and he will find you.

It is his problem, not yours. So don't need to spend too much time wondering why. If you really like him and don't care about the problem you may find him and have a talk. If he doesn't mean that much to you just move on and forget about it. It seems you need to convince yourself that it is not your problem.
