I love Ranger cookies,looking for a good receipt.

Ranger Cookies

1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour -- (2 1/2 to 2 3/4)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups rice krispies
1 cup shredded coconut meat
1/2 cup nuts

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually. Add well beaten eggs & vanilla. Sift flour, soda, salt & baking powder together, mix with first ingredients. Add remaining ingredients & mix well. Mold into balls the size of walnut & press down on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400ºF for 12 minutes. Can add in chocolate or other flavored chips.

Ranger Cookies
Great tasting cookie recipe that I've made since I was able to bake. Nice combination with the oatmeal, coconut, and Rice Krispies.

4 dozen cookies (depending on size) 27 min 15 min prep

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup coconut
2 cups Rice Krispies

Preheat oven to 375°.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla extract; beat until creamy.
Beat in eggs.
Gradually add flour mixture; mix well.
Stir in oatmeal, coconut, and Rice Krispy cereal; mix well.
Roll into small balls and flatten with hand.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 10-12 minutes or till light brown.

Ranger Cookies

This recipe came to us from a friend in college named Vicki Masakowski.

One cup butter or margarine
One cup granulated sugar
One cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
One tsp. vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
One tsp. baking soda
One half tsp. baking powder
One half tsp. salt
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups crisp rice cereal
One cup shredded coconut
Heat oven to 350°F. Cream together butter/margarine, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth. Fold in oats, rice cereal, and coconut. Roll into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten with the tines of a fork. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter or shortening

1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
2 cups corn flakes
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
confectioners' sugar as needed
PREPARATION:
Cream together the butter and both sugars. Blend in the eggs. Into a separate container, sift together the flour, baking soda and baking powder then add to the creamed mixture, blending well. Mix in the vanilla; stir in the rolled oats, corn flakes, coconut, chocolate chips and pecans.

Form mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Roll in powdered sugar. Press down with a fork on greased baking sheets. Bake in a 350° oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozen chocolate chip ranger cookies.
