Nearly but not quite. The Fifers visited Station Park during the 1963-64 campaign in the old Scottish Second Division and scored four. Sadly, their hosts still won, the final score being... Forfar 5, East Fife 4.

The actual result was Forfar 5 East Fife 4 in season 63-64.

How long is a piece of string? Aye there was and the game was played in the season 62/63 but the scoreline was Forfar 5 East Fife 4.

A genuine score, but it wouldn't have been announced like that, as they read the full name of the club out and so it would have been Forfar athletic
