I always remember that the people who wrote the Bible also believe the world was flat.

The only proof that God exists that the religions have is that, "someone said so", usually written in a book. Which is not proof of anything.. The only way to prove that God exists is for God to show up (like he used to do in the bible). All of the religions have a problem with that, and guess why? If you read the Bible you'll notice that God was always coming down and speaking to the people, even for not very important reasons. If someone farted you might read in the Bible, "And the Lord said, 'Don't do that ,it smells'. Did God show up on 9/11 and speak to the people of the World? How about after the 2004 Tsunami that killed 300,000 many who were Muslims and prayed 5 times a day? How about when Pope John Paul (his main-man according to Catholics) was shot? The "proof is in the pudding" and no-show God's desert dish is empty. To prove his existence and convert the non-believers, God must resume coming down like he used to do in the Bible. Why is that a problem?

Hello!! :o) As a Christian - I would [lovingly] BLAST any other Christian who tried to imply that the Bible is 'proof' of anything - let alone the existence of God. Years ago - a pastor at the church I attended told all of us that what was written in the Old Testament is 'proven' by what was written in the New Testament. I disagreed and told him so. [In a very respectful sort of way] The Bible isn't about 'proof'. It's about 'faith'. If it was about 'proof' then I have been struggling with my faith for all these years - for no reason at all! That said... don't allow the very people that I'm sure you would say you have little respect for - to keep YOU from having faith in God. It wasn't God - after all - who told you that the Bible is proof of His existence. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

For Jay Smithereens: quite, there isn't any anarthrous nominative noun in John financial disaster a million which lacks the article yet is translated with a distinctive meaning in the NWT. The NWT translators weren't inconsistent. You look working with the perception that each and each physique 5 Greek noun circumstances handle using the article the comparable way. they do no longer. by way of nature of the nominative case, it extraordinarily much continually calls for the article to be seen particular in meaning. As to your occasion, the be conscious "god" in John a million:6 is in the genitive case, which freely dispenses with the article, even while particular in meaning. John's utilization of the article is consistent with different first century Koine Greek writers. As for the Sahidic Coptic translation, the translators did no longer "drop the article," they "extra" the Coptic indefinite article - a - in simple terms like the NWT translators did. it is beside the point what the Coptic church believes immediately, on condition that they did no longer translate the Sahidic NT, nor do they nevertheless use it. The Copts who translated the Sahidic Coptic NT for sure did no longer have self belief in the Trinity. Their translation became made formerly the Council of Nicea - a minimum of one hundred years formerly - long formerly "orthodox" Trinitarianism had taken carry. it is shown in different Sahidic Coptic texts. as an occasion, John 8:fifty 8, John 10:33, Titus 2:13, 2 Peter a million:a million, are quite greater reminiscent of the NWT than to different premier English translations of immediately.

Yes - it's classic circular logic, that I had drummed into me as a Kid. How do we know the bible is the word of god? Because it says so here in second Corinthians!
I also find it chucklesome when Christian apologists get all excited about archaeological discoveries that 'prove' that some of the people and places in the Bible may have actually existed. I had some Christadelphians banging on about some dig in Lebanon or other.
It's like saying 'Hey, the Harry Potter Books mention London, and Kings cross station - those places really exist, so Hogwarts must exist too!'

My God isn't a god but Almighty God. The Holy Bible can prove to you that God exists. First and foremost you have to have faith and faith is confidence assurance that what you hope for is going to happen. As a believer, i know that there's righteousness obtained through believing in a holy God and doing and living by what He asks of me. On the other hand, i also believe that there is evil which originated from when Lucifer who was once an angel of the Lord tried to exalt himself above the Holy God which is sheer rebellion and he was cast out of Heaven. Hence all evil stems there, coz God originally intended for all to live in harmony. Therefore i have faith and believe that good will prevail over evil and am hoping so.
Back to yr question of proof, when you read the Holy Bible not as any other book or novel but take time to analyse and meditate upon what you read, you will find out that because the Holy Bible was written by men inspired by the Holy spirit of God, the old testament has foretold the New testament and the new testament foretells the future according to God's plan for mankind. This should atleast kick start yr belief. However you should seek the truth because the devil has devised schemes by making false teachings appear like the truth to draw many to him coz he is doomed to destruction and doen't want to be alone. You had better belief than getting to judgement day and finding that there's a God you denied. God bless

The holy bible for example is not all factual, it is a bias interpretation of events which cannot be verified by anyone living! What is weird is it is not updated on a regularly basis, can't it be a working document!!!! or is it a blue print for our destiny----doubt it
I think there is a higher entity beyond our own understanding, but I don't think we should worship it, because for some reason it seems to not to want to intervene and is an observer not a doer. Only we as people can fend for ourselves here, so why waste time on religion instead just try to be civil to everyone until it is our time to understand!

You may prove the Bible with history, science, and health issues, and see Bible's accuracy.
The Bible foretold the rise and fall of world empires such as Babylon, Medo Persia, Greece, Rome, even Europe, in the book of Daniel (see for example chapteres 2,7,8)
The Bible says the earth is round, and that it is hang upon nothing; God had said it before men found out. Not that long ago, scientists discover that air has weight; the Bible already said the air has weight:
Isaiah 40: 22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
Job 26: 7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
Job 28: 25 To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
Also, Bible prophecies fulfilling before us:

And the best proof for Bible inspiration is the lives of its readers: their lives are changed! God works miracles through His Word. No other book got the power the Bible has. It is the Word of God, no wonder its readers are transformed by its Author. You may read one out of many testimonies about changed lives by Christ's loving grace:

The Bible offers no proof of the existence of God .A huge chasm exists between God and man. That gap can only be bridged by faith.Faith can only come from God ,unfortunately I can't give you some neither can your parents. If you are sincere you will recieve faith; some great scientists like Pasteur and Ampere believed firmly in God."The existience of the Jew bears testimony to the the existence of God",theese are the words of Benjamin Disraeli(a jew ---I am christian). Here is something to research;God does not come cheap. Good luck!

People who believe in the Bible also believe in God. That tends to make their arguments seem a bit biassed. To believers, no proof is required: to non-believers no proof is sufficient.
One of the proofs of God's existence favoured by mediaeval philosophers is that left to its own devices, matter collapses into chaos - so an ordered universe cannot have come into being without intelligent design. That explains why my spare computer and loudspeaker cables tie themselves in knots no matter how carefully I wind them up when I put them away. Why does God always prove he exists when you're in a hurry?
The ultimate proof was in a Monty Python sketch where the Jesuit theologist took on the humanist professor in a no holds barred wrestling match. God exists by two falls to a submission.

Yes, if you don't have faith that the Bible is the Word of God, then it is not "proof".
Even if you do not believe in the Bible whatsoever... Do you not base your own beliefs on books?
As to the Bible being proven true, I can show you many times where the Bible is proven true... Historically... But does this not depend on where you get your information? Where you may read a book that says "I have proof the Bible is fake", I can show you books that say "I have proof the Bible is true".
