We don't.
"Hard to get" is amongst the most annoying of the mind games females inflict upon us.

Sorry I'm a women. It's almost the same reason we, as women, like the bad boy type. I have a guy that is just too "goody two shoes" but if I could get over that part he would make a good companion. We just come from different backgrounds. And then I have a man that is a good man but has that bad boy appearance and strut about him plus he has a nice bike.

I think i'd like to support my fellow females. First and foremost, no two people are alike. What might be good for the goose may not necessarily be good for the gander.
In the biological form, we are all animals except we are the highest in the chain. Now, if you notice the ''lower animals'', the female usually ''fronts'' or plays hard to get before she finally, (that is, if she allows), lets the male have his way with her. Technically, we're programmed that way.
In the reality/morality form, females (except they like you instantly) are emotional beings and won't just give themselves like a drink to any passing male. Nobody likes to be seen as ''cheap'' and they need that extra reassurance from the male folk that they are here to stay and will not just use and dump them at freewill. Besides among her friends, she wants to be seen as a Goddess who took her time and made the boy wait before accepting him. Some girls have been brought up to think that a good wife material must take things easy.
In terms of Individuality, some females are like men, in the sense that, if they are down, they are down. End of story. But as i said, its not like that with everybody. I like a chase but ofcourse, not a long one so that the guy won't give up hope.
Also, some guys like the challenge as they tend to appreciate their woman more. Its just like working hard and saving your money to get that diamond. when you finally have it, you'll cherish it, wouldn't you.
P.S. I don't support long chases and 1 minute ''knowledge of each other'' before getting down. A measure of ''knowing the person'' is healthy for any stable relationship.

some men like the challenge of getting something they can't have. but other men don't like girls who are just a tease they like down to earth girls. so its fifty-fifty really, it depends on the type of guy.

sounds like someone doesn't quite comprehend what they are speaking about. in spite of the indisputable fact that, i imagine will be important to save the romance alive in a lengthy-time period relationship/marriage.considering that after awhile the entire "in love" butterflies fizzles out, so that you are able to nonetheless make a wakeful attempt to love the guy you've commited to, otherwise they commence to experience unappreciated...
