Please don't get me wrong, crims are crims, but the government are proposing giving longer community service sentances to unemployed criminals. Have they thought that now they won't be able to get a real job because they are doing so many hours community service?

It's supposed to be a punishment. They could always sit in jail and let the taxpayers support them. Community service is usually carried out over the weekends, so it doesn't interfer with a job, only the free time.
