let's see what the noble Quran tells us,
"Shaitân (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allâh and from As-Salât (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?"[6] Quran 5:91
"They ask you (O Muhammad) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: "In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they ought to spend. Say: "That which is beyond your needs." Thus Allâh makes clear to you His Laws in order that you may give thought." [7] Quran 2:219
peace.

First this question has pretty much been answered but I want to add the the Muslim scholars have not changed this to suit their ways as the Christians have. It is forbidden in the Bible just like it is forbidden in the Qu'ran.
Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nore strong drink: and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
Romans 14: 21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything whereby they brother stumbleth, or iis offended or is made weak.

"The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes. There is Muhammad the Prophet. There is Muhammad the Warrior; Muhammad the Businessman; Muhammad the Statesman; Muhammad the Orator; Muhammad the Reformer; Muhammad the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad the Judge; Muhammad the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero."

Real born again Christians do not drink alcohol either. There are alot of Americans who claim to be Christians but yet they still follow thier old ways and go to bars and casinos and have drinks, etc. These are Christians who are not born again and saved yet. Christians are not to use alcohol or drugs as we believe it is satans way of fogging our mind and a way to distract us from God.

It's already been said SCIENCE show benefits from moderate use.
Ancient Jews lived longer than any Muslim or Christians, maybe it's because they drank red wine!
It's in the Bible, which predate the Koran.
Some of these people lived 500, 600, 800 years.
French and Italians live longer than most Americans or Muslims!
They relish their red wines!
Let Muslims keep away from it. Let them die sooner! Die in ignorance!
Eat Lamb, get congestive heart disaease and die MUCH sooner than French or Italians!
