You need to ask the client a few questions before doing a skin analysis! Ask them if they ever experience shine on their face during the day? If yes then its oily ask what time of the day they experience it as this determines how oily

If no then ask if they experience tightness, obvious dryness or flakiness on their skin! If they experience tightness then its dehyrated and need to increase water intake and reduce alcohol intake and also change their homecare to water based products! If its the other two then its dry.

Remember skin types are: dry, oily, sensitive or normal and they can also be a combination
Remember skin CONDITIONS are dehyrated, mature and sensitized(which is say after a reaction to a product its usually a temporary state)

Hope this helps!

If it's over the phone, then ask them what does their skin feel like. Ask what colour the skin is. Is it rough? Smooth? Do they have blemishes? Acne? Scars? etc... If you are looking at them in person, then you will be able to assess them by looking at them.

You really need to be more in depth with this question hunny. Cause it's not an easy question to understand.

Are you an Avon salesperson? Are you a Mary K. salesperson? Or are you a dermatologist? If you are a dermatologist, then you need to go back to school!

If it's shiny, then it's greasy, if it's got blotches of red or pink on it or it flakes, then it's dry. If there's a mixture of that, then it's combination.
Also check for spots, if they've got a face like a pizza, then they've obviously got skin oil imbalance problems.

Stick a tissue on theie forehead. If it comes off greasy, they have oily skin. If not, dry or normal.
