Marijuana

2006-10-26 22:29:32 · answer #1 · answered by noogney 4 · 0 2

I was a total pot head for years as well as being partial to a few hundred drinks on the weekend.. Got to the point of depresion, paranoia and total skitzo behaveour. Now I am free from drink and drugs and only yesterday was talking about how glad I was to give it all up!! I go to bed at a resonable hour ( not staying up getting stoned and pissed coz I couldnt sleep - smoking weed long turn actually makes u more proan to insomnia.) I turned into a monster, drinking..... you think you can handle it but it creeps up on you before you know it!
Nowadays if i'm out I stick to red wine and havent smoked a spliff in months...Not saying I wouldnt ever smoke another but defo not gonnna be spending all my hard erned cash on it. I also have the best dreams now long term smokers lose there ability to have dreams because your body is never having proper sleep just cannabis induced tiredness which is not sleep. I am also very confident and no longer forgetful ( well not as much!) I can get up for work in the mornings not hungover or with huge bags under my eyes and feel genuinley tired at 10 at night.
I know that to all you party animals this might sound like a boring exsistance be beieve me I'm happier than I've been in years and I was the original party animal. By the way I'm still only 25 and I'm glad I got it all out of my system young.
So in answer to your question... Id say drink is probs less damaging if in moderation but then the same can be saidd for pot. Every thing in moderation.

Alcohol for me, for 3 reasons.
1. Alcohol is legal in most countries & doesn't screw with my visas.
2. I can control how wasted I get with alcohol..pour myself a small dose or climb into the entire bottle
3. Marijuana makes me vomit..whether I smoke it myself or walk through a room where it's being smoked. I'm sure this is an entirely psychological problem because I used to be able to smoke it without repurcussions.

Neither, if you need a crutch I don't think these are it. I have seen a teenager starting with Marijuana move on to stronger drugs - he is going to die I am sorry to say as he can't kick the habit even though he has been in rehab a number of times. I have also seen good people become almost zombies through drink, good people but they ruined their lives. I don't really drink but I do smoke which will also have a penalty so I am not saying "Be perfect", just think will it hurt you or others around you? If the answer is "Yes" then perhaps you shouldn't do it. You have friends and loved ones - think of them as well. Then you decide. I can't stop you although I wish I could, only you can decide.

I would say alcohol because Marijuana is illegal....

But I've been wondering... Alcohol is illegal in USA in my age too so it makes no difference.

About marijuana.... there must be a reason to be illegal. I might be dangerous. I don't like the smell of it.

A bit early for me right now thanks, like to wait a bit before my first spliff! Anyway, hopefully you don't mean one or the other for the rest of your life, necause that would be terrible, I like both! I think marijuana is the better of the 2 options though, 1000s opf deaths every year from alcohol and alcohol related illnesses and injuries, drunk driving etc, whereas with weed it's, erm, let me see now, oh, it's none! Whoever said above that they don't wanna die from taking weed? Where did you get that info from? And the person who knows someone with drug habits who's dying, and they started on weed. Sorry to hear that, but you might find that they started on coffee or tea first, not weed. If someone's gonna be a drug addict, of course they're not going to be the type of person who turns their nose up at a spliff. I've been smoking weed for 20 odd years, held down many jobs, with serious responsibilities, not addicted to anything. Alcohol can be addictive, weed isn't. Alcohol can have a tendency to make you violent or out of control, weed? Not a chance. Alcohol is fun though, good to have a few beers if you're going out, weed is more for at home, relaxing. Weed is good for you!!!! I could go on for years, but I won't....

Weed is fun, but you end up lazy most of the time, and you can get in trouble for it (unless you work for the government, or have alot on you, you probably won't even get a slap on the hand though)

Alcohol is also fun, you get drunk, want to do stupid stuff, but the drunken stories are usally better. Plus what ex girlfriend doesn't love a drunken phone call at 5am on sunday morning.

So I would say alcohol

Neither, I am not trying to be a kill joy but, before it was seen to be "Big" to do either or both life in general here was great the problems associated with what happens when either of these gets out of hand is probally why our health service is being drained of resources that could better be used elsewhere.
