Do you use the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, or the elements of Sky, Land, and Water or something else entirely. I am doing research on the different druid groups and what elements they use. Please also let me know if it is okay to use your answers in my research and what name you would like me to use if you agree.

Modern druids use just what you listed, depending on which path they have taken... which Gods/Goddess' they use in ritual. There is nothing in history to show what the ancient Druids did in their rituals. They couldn't really tell you if the Druids even had rituals like what modern paganism has today. The only contemporary writing about the Druids was by Julius Ceasar (who dessimated the Celtic tribes during his reign)... and what Julius wrote was more about the Celts themselves, in battle, than the Druids. So we are all at a loss for what the ancient Druids did.

You can use my answer if you want... sorry it wasn't a better or more precise answer. Just put my nick on it.

The classic Greek 4 elements get used by a number of groups; IME, those are the ones that are typically very similar to Wicca in terms of belief and ritual structure.

Sky, Land, and Water aren't elements, per se, but realms - similar to the Norse idea where there's Midgaard (Earth), Asgard (realm of the gods), etc. You could potentially view them as being elements... but I'm not sure that they quite qualify.

I've seen some lists that run in the 7 to 12 range in terms of elements; unfortunately, I don't seem to have a copy of the list handy at the moment. From what I've seen, though, the folks who are more apt to use the longer list like that don't put a heavy investment in to it; the elements aren't as big of a concern as they are in some of the other Pagan religions.
