Yes it is as long as you dont squish her. My cat did the same thing and she was always fine. I think if they get uncomfortable or cant breath they will get out or let you know.

My cat has been doing this since I first got her. She started out sleeping on my chest, but now crawls under the covers with me (3 years later). There have been mornings I have found her at the foot of the bed curled up around my feet under the blankets on really cold mornings. It's normal and quite fine. As others have said before me, if you roll over on your cat he will let you know if you hurt him. I've had cats in my home for over 15 years and everyone of them have had their own little quirk about where they sleep. Several have liked to get under the covers and others won't let anything be on top of them when they sleep. It's all good. Enjoy the fact that your cat likes to be near you.

My cat loves to sleep under the blankets with me. She too sleeps like a human. Her little head on the pillow with the rest of her underneath. She has to be laying on my arm too though! She sleeps so good like this, she falls into thiss deep deep sleep where my alarm clock which would wake the dead doesn't even wake her up sometimes! She will go under by my feet if it is real cold, but since I am arestless sleeper it usually doesn't last.

No problem for the kitten to sleep under the covers as long as it doesn't have ticks or fleas. The other important item you may want to remember is: this is going to become a life long habit for the cat. We adopted a kitten that looked like Sylvester the cartoon character, and he slept under the covers for 16 years. Cats will naturally crawl on top of the covers when they become overheated.

How old is your kitten? Younger than three months and I often get nervous I will kick or roll on the kitty. But I'm a violent sleeper. Depending on their mothers cat's like certain safety areas. Yours might like the weight on him to feel safe just like some like heights or holes. Trust his instincts, his mother taught him well and nature has a remarkable survival instinct. That being said, don't load him with too much weight and if you hear him mewing be sure to help him out immediately. Kittens do have a tendency to play too rough and get themselves tangled up in things like blankets.

Jeeze, we keep running into each other! It's absolutely normal for a kitten, or a cat to want to sleep under the covers with you. I wish that mine did still. It reminds them of being all snuggled up with their mama and siblings. Many litters are borne under covers on beds. I had a friend that woke up to a Mama and kittens still bloody and wet in her bed when she was 7. Cat

My dads cat does all the time. Your cat will be just fine, no worries. Just think, if a dog can sleep under the covers so can a cat.

how cute. my cat sleeps under the covers as well. but not completely. his head will always be on the pillow, and his two front paws/ feet/ hands outside the covers. he actually sleeps like a human. like me anyways. your kitten will be fine. if he cant breathe, he'll get out himself. your kitten may follow the way u sleep, so if u're worried, i'd advise u to stop sleeping under the covers as well...

My cat Bobby did this for 16 years until he passed away in July of this year and he didn't die of suffocation. I was worried like you when he first started doing it but I couldn't stop him. Now, Leo, has picked up the habit, mimicking Bobby. Don't worry he will be fine. Just be careful cause we almost sit on Bobby several times unaware that he was under there.

One of mine used to climb under the blankets during the night when she got cold. She would climb under behind me and go the length of my body and them up along the front. Sometimes stopping around me feet. (I had to stop her taking a break at my feet cos if i moved them she would bite them,) She would end up next to me with head on the pillow.
How did I know she started at my back? He fur was freeeeeeezing on my bare back!! lol
She doesnt do it anymore because it is warming up and the Burmese sleeps with me now.
