Long term relationship of course unless you are a playboy or a flirt who enjoys breaking hearts.

i will go with long. i have had short term relationships and they were okay and so so. the long term relationship that i am in which is also serious is the best thing when it comes to my dating record! in a short term realationship you sort of know the person but not that well.in the long term one you get to know your gf/bf better and you know what they like, what they hate, you learn their style when it comes to clothig, you learn their clothing size-for presents shopping purposes, can predict what they will say, know something new every single day and at times feel like a married couple if you dated for more than 13 months! a long term relationship makes you compromise vs. being selfish, think when you make decisions, makes you surprise each other as well as enjoying each other's co. more and being able to read who you are dating really well: if they are having a good day, a so-so day, a great day, are crying or lying to you just by their tone plus you also get the chance to fall in love and to experience how it feels!

i would prefer a long term relationship. But sometimes, you know that both of you aren't meant to be together, could be age, family situation or even status. If i really like him, I would rather have a short term relationship then.
I would rather be with him, however short it was and enjoyed the moments we had then not have him at all. Yeah it'll bring on major heartache but I guess it's to have loved and be loved before kind of mentality?

Long term because of the fact that I am the type of person who has lost alot of people in my life and has little by myself. I am happier and happiest perhaps when I am with someone for a long while. It makes me do better in life too when long term is the course of the relationship.

hi sean,
i think a long term relationship will start with a short one...
so i would first strat with a short term and then if it goes well, i wud continue it for a long term...
in a short term relationship, u cant know the person completely....u may know only a part of him/her...
having a relationship with the condition of it being short term..is a waste of time, money etc...
Thanks,
Lee

I've always preferred long term relationships. I feel more secure, happy and I am more dedicated when it is a long term relationship.

Of course I would choose long term .. there is more passion, more tenderness and a path to go further upon. Needless to say I believe in Old Romance, Falling in love with your best friend and growing old as you sit on your porch in matching rocking chairs.

It depends on the person....
I have always longed for a long term relationship.... and I have one....
But, when I was younger, I met a fellow whom I just could not wait to get away from...... The shorter, the better.....
