China has the largest standing army with approx. 2.2 million troops and numerous ships, planes and tanks.

U.S. is a close second with approx. 1.5 million and about the same number of planes and tanks.

However, if you count reserve troops, North Korea has almost 6 million available troops if needed.

Excuse me? The US ground troops are no good? I'd like to see some evidence backing that statement up. As far as GB is concerned, I do recognize that they had some of the finest troops the the world had seen prior to the 21st century. But now, especially in SF, which all the units you mentioned are, multi-national cross training has made it darn near impossible to distinguish one country's SF unit from another.

China has more troops yes, but so far as military spending goes the US is king. It spends approximately $25 000 per SECOND on the military. That is more than all the other 192 countries put together.

If you are talking merely by number of those serving in the military, it would be China. The US has about 2 million in the active duty and reserve forces, the Chinese closer to 20 million. Of course, proportionally it is pretty close in terms of population, and one must keep in mind that China conscripts its military.

2.The US has the fire power but their ground troops are no good but their technology is good and their equipment.
3.Britain has the best trained troops in the world like the SAS,SBS,RM Commando's and Para's and Britain has great equipment and technology.


If the US didn't have a lot of fire power(they only have a lot of firepower because their ground troops are no good)they would rank about 10th....12th.
