Definately. I have many male friends that are friends only. Some of these friends I have been close mates with for 20 years or more! I'm a mans girl.. Men enjoy my company, I was brought up with a lot of boys, I understand them and they are always comfortable talking to me. I am not naive and definately know that a couple of them would sleep with me should I want that but my closest friend in the world is a man and there is no sexual attraction between us at all. I'm often told that I'm not like most girls because I don't get offended at some of the things they say so I think they enjoy being able to get a females point of view on things.. sort of an inside opinion. A couple of my closest male friends are married and I am friends with their wives also.

Yep, I myself have always had more male friends than female, without benefits. My daughter is the same way, Most people benefit from these type of relationships they help with their own relationships by helping their friend to see what their bf/gf may be thinking etc.
The way i see it you must be friends first anyways before lovers if you expect anything long term.

it happens but there is an interesting statistic I once found having to do with marriages that might shed some light. compatibility alone works well benefits alone work well but the highest rate of divorce is when people get married for both reasons yes U got me right a statistical study which struck me askance much as yourself but I now believe it just based on my own experience If the people surveyed told the truth then the survey should be true

Yes. My one of my best friends happens to be a man. We have been close friends for almost 20 years and never had "benefits".
