People tell me I'm so pretty, people tell me I'm so smart, people say the nicest things sometimes, problem is, I don't believe these things in my own head. How do I pick up my confidence? To top it off, i'm in law school right now and that sort of crazy stressful, competitive environment just brings out any insecurities you have about yourself. I need to get past this confidence issue in order to stay focused on my goal. Please someone offer some advice.

Perhaps it is not so much self confidence you need to worry about. Don't worry about self confidence and just concentrate on what you want to achieve. Your self confidence may have nothing to do with the situation.

It might help to find a study partner who you can bounce ideas off or help you focus. Get away from the need to compare yourself maybe? Who cares if people say you are pretty or smart just focus on your work and surround yourself with people who are actively supportive not just complimenting you. Try to your enjoy your work and make it a kind of game at times ,set little study goals as you go.
