You can't. And it will have to be something he figures out for himself. The best thing you can do now is try to be a good friend if that is feasible, and by doing so you can possible him become a better person. GL

It is not your job to tutor someone in the type of love you want them to give. It happens naturally. This is not the right person for you. When you spend a lot of time trying to figure someone out, or empathize, sympathize or basically make excuses for their behavior or lack of some desired feeling you want from them, IT IS NOT THE RELATIONSHIP YOU WANT TO BE IN. Be thankful it is over, realize this was a learning experience, and demand the best for yourself. You deserve the best for yourself. Only you can look out for your best interests. You have choices, options, and choosing this type of relationship will be emotionally draining and will only damage you further than you already may be. Examine your life, and figure out why you think this type of relationship (one without love and respect) is what you deserve.

You can't. Because, being male, he thinks he is superior to you. The thing that must be done is, demanding His respect for You. I think that can best be done by... your getting it from another man. Move on, baby! There are literally billions of decent ment in this world. You don't need this ... this... bunch of nothing.
