He brings most of it on himself. I have regularly seen him out and about in Glasgow nightclubs and the way he swaggers about a punch in the face or worse is just around the corner for him. Also while receiving abuse from away fans (okay mostly Rangers fans) waving back and that stupid ugly smile he has doesn't do him any favours, and what the "unfortunate incident" a few seasons ago when Penfold put his arm around him, marched him to the middle of Ibrox park and clenched his fist in some sort of denial to the away fans.
I ask you. Class eh?
Poor fellow...

Isn't it funny how Neil Lennon gets booed at every Scottish ground, yet Scotland is meant to have a modern, non-racist, liberal society. The usual excuse trotted out is that Lennon is a dirty player. Check the records and what do we find...? He has the best disciplinary record at Celtic Park. Funny that.

I'm afraid it's all to do with small-minded bigoted sectarianism. He was respected as a N.Ireland international. But that all changed when he moved to Celtic and reports claimed he wanted to play for a United Ireland team. He constantly got booed when representing his country, and he and his family received death threats, so he decided to retire. As we all know, many Rangers fans have Loyalist connections, and it's this small-minded petty (and minority) rabble who sully the good name of football. Racism and Sectarianism out!

No it's pure and simple Secterianisim, if you look at which international team he should play for and the back ground of the divide between the two teams in that country, then it explains alot as too why he gets what he gets.
He would of expected that sort of reaction when he signed for the second best in the city.

It takes two to tango and Lennon is not averse to making a few bigoted and sectarian remarks himself. He and O'Squeal were caught out a couple of seasons ago with their vile language.
