My brother-in-law has been living w/ us for about 3 months now and working w/ my husband. Recently my husband has been complaining about his burping and how bad they smell... even going as far as to say the make him gag..I thought he was just being silly..until tonight when i was unfortunant enough to catch a wiff..OMG it smells like a fart.. the worst god awful fart you have ever smelled... he also eats tums like candy and said is stomach is upset??? What on earth could be wrong with him?? This can not be normal.

Because of the function they smell like, impaction comes to mind, especially with the antacids he is taking. Check out the link below, maybe something there applies.

No, I agree that this is not normal. He should get checked out. If he has an upset stomach all the time, maybe he has an ulcer.

Perfectly normal, some guys belch worse than others, and it also depends on what he eats. Some smell a lot worse than others.

Sounds like acid reflux. I am not a doctor but he should go to one.
