Not sure about a fence, but you have to protect a border somehow. Otherwise what's the point of having a border?

Also, if you let anybody just walk across the border whenever they feel like it without so much as a "hello", what right do you have then to screen people at airports?
That's just plain discrimination!!!

Fences are like rules. They are made to be broken, or manuvered over, under, through, around. A fence is a obstical not an absolute. Might be a good start but not and end.
