riding a stationary bike is just as good as running, try eating smaller portions at least 5 or 6 times a day. The less you eat your body thinks youre fasting and will store everything you eat for later energy. So eat more and do alittle 30 minute bike ride a day and you will lose weight in no time, this is tried and tested on many of my friends and works (even on the ones who didnt want to excersize) drink plenty of water too and no soda or beer.

Calories used minus calories consumed will be the amount of calories you can burn. If you reduce the amount of intake and increase the exercise, you should lose weight.
If you can't run or walk fast, you should try walking in a swimming pool. The water will provide some support as well as some resistance and it should be good exercise without as much risk of damage.

You haven't mentioned if you are able to walk. Walking is just as good if not better for you than running. You need to be walking briskly, but be able to have a conversation at the same time. If you can't talk, you are going to fast. Walking is also low impact so better for your joints than running. The calorie burning is basically the same as for running. Also something like pilates would be good if you are able to do that. Good luck and remember to eat a low fat healthy diet full of fresh foods and low in processed foods.
