Love is what you think it is, because it is your experience not anyone else's. You can make it as shallow and unfulfilling as sex alone or something substantial like knowing you will sacrifice yourself for someone. Real love is based on trust and forgiveness and is without harsh judgments or criticism. It is caring for another when you know that person can't pay you back. Love is limited; there is no ideal love because we are limited and we are not ideal...
Developing a love for self is the greatest accomplishment because only then can you find a fulfilling love with someone else. How to really love oneself? Really look at beyond the surface. The truth of real love will elude those who don't masterthe art of appreciating the self.

Love is something that you can't really put into words but something that you could definitely feel. If I had to explain love I would say that it is a thing that would make you and it could also break you. When you fall in love with someone you would do anything for that person and there are no boundaries to how far you would reach to please, protect and save that person. Love is something that could also make someone really unhappy when the feeling isn't mutual something that is so strong that it has been known to be a killer from the beginning of times. Romeo and Juliet is a great example for what I am trying to explain. It is something that should never be a game to someone its a serious emotion.

Its one of those things that doesnt have a set definition. But its something you will know, feel, experience, and live through.
Real love to me means being able to put someone before your needs, wants, desires, happiness, etc and not expecting anything in return.

Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud,
doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;
doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

well at first, it could be a question mark, then an exclamation point, then a comma...a comma...and another comma... as long as you don't reach the "period"....that's real love...
