on the plane ride, remember to bring enough diapers and clothing to change, you don't want him to soil himself, leaving you in a mess. bring enough milk and snacks, and things to entertain him so that he does not make a din or scream or wail. it spares you the embarassment. as hong kong is a busy place, please do remember to look out for him carefully, or else if he wanders off without your knowledge, i do not know how you are going to find him. enjoy your trip, i assure you it will be a fun one (:

All kids are different. You know him better than anyone, so use your best judgement. I took an extremely long flight with my 1 1/2 year old almost a year ago, and was amazed at how helpfull the flight attendants were. So I guess my only advice would be to bring along a nice gift for the flight crew, just in case.

I tried keeping my 24month old up all night so she'd sleep on the plane during an international flight, but she couldnt sleep longer than an hour at a time, and totally less than 3 hours. Another time I gave her benedryl allergy medicine and it helped her a little. These things are helpful to bring along: small books, small toys that don't make noise, a mini flashlight or light stick, small candies, small snacks (cheerios). Make sure you bring bottles or sippy cups to drink, when the plan takes off and lands the pressure will hurt his ears if he doesn't "pop" them by drinking, also everyone gets dehydrated on planes, children more so, so make sure he gets plenty of liquids. Take walks up and down the ailses every hour or so. Good luck!

Seeing as how he remains 17, you nonetheless have the appropriate to tell him what to do. additionally, if he needs to do issues whilst he became 18 which you do no longer consider you could consistently make him initiate paying his very own costs. i'm 21 and function a baby and that i'm married.
