look at their hate-filled propaganda suggesting that people who refuse to believe their fairytale are in fact cold-blooded killers! This is beyond the pale, folks!

atheists are 50x less likely to be in prison (http://www.holysmoke.org/icr-pri.htm), but the image in the above link suggests we will shoot you because we don't believe in your God!

Shameless!

The fact that some people thought it vitally important to make a site dedicated to proving Genesis right is appalling to some yes, but as a former Christian I find it irrelevant what some nut job thinks about evolution. They probably also think this world is only five thousand years old, but does that bother every one else viewpoint on human history? No, it doesn't; and at the very least others find it humerus, but I once held that opinion myself, and now I know better than to think that way. There is way to much scientific evidence in support of evolution, and to prove that the sorry of Adam and Eve in Genesis true would only open the flood gates for others to try and prove their more destructive aspects correct. I in no way am saying that ALL Christians are like those who made that website, but as a Pagan I see it this way we as mortals have know way of knowing what a day is to the divine. So why bother trying to prove in such a foolish way what one believes to be historical fact?

If I have offended anyone I apologize in advance.

I saw no reference stating the word atheists in what I read. Perhaps you are unaware that some Christians believe in parts of the evolution theory. There are two parts to evolution. There is the adaptability within a species or horizontal evolution, which while not proved on a really large scale is never the less part of God's programing for life to adapt. Then there is the creation part of evolution often refereed to as vertical evolution which denys any part being taken by a superior intelligence in the creation of our present situation, where people or sentient beings populate the earth.

what the article said was that evolutionists propaganda leads to loss of hope. I think that this taken by itself is not the whole problem but only one of the syptoms leading to hopelessness in the disenfranchised.

all fairytales point to a truth of some kind.

I myself do not believe that the teaching of verticle evolution while just a foolish theory with somewhere between slim and no actual proof at all.

What I do believe is that teaching something as far fetched and obviously in error gives many a sense of helplessness and the idea that no one cares about them (since the people they know do not appear to care for tham). If all is true is the result of randomness, then coupling this to the futility of what is evident in their lives leaves them in a hopeless situation and thus nothing to lose.

Atheists do not necessarily believe there is no possiblity of a caring group somewhere who might reach out to these that are left behind in our society. They simply do not believe in a benevolent creator. There could be aliens or life forms from other places that though not interferring in our current state, like it was stated in the Star trek prime initiative might be working on making things better. They would not rule out future time travel and that future humans come back to alter life in a postive way without making their presence known. They also could believe that if mankind worked together that we might make a substantial differance in the qualities of our lives in the future. So atheists are not proposing we are helpless is changing things.

evolution pretty much shows a hopeless future dictated by mans cruel and all too common sorry behavior, unless some radical mutation changes man for the better and believing that might happen anytime soon is a pretty hopless scenario.

Evolution does in many ways leads one to a hopless future for anyone who is disenfranchised, and knows the present power struture will continue to make their lives a continuing hell. Unfortunatily Christians have now become part of that evil power structure by voting in a block for an evil man who said he was a christian and then when it became obvious he was lying did nothing to disassociate with him or his actions. this perhaps being the reason christians are being targeted in many of these violent acts.

you misinterpreting that article does seem however to make you appear to yourself being evil. If I were an atheist I would ask you to disassociate yourself from themselves as christians should have disassociated from Bush and company as they might in Nov.

fairytales by definition point to a truth using fantasy as a medium. Evolution is not a fairytale

Either one is either grossly misinformed and laughable.
The first still dates the beginning of the world from the First man and woman from the Garden of Eden. but does not answer the question of who the other tribes we that they meet upon being escorted out of the Garden and how long those people had been on the Earth. The verses before then says that there were giant beasts roaming the Earth in those days. stories from the other tribes handed down.
ADAM and EVE were the first of the race of mankind called Israelites. but were created after the actual first people.
They need to look at their own history and see how many people they killed in the name of their God. that's the pot calling the kettle black.and they are still at it only now it is called police actions.in other countries.

Stop the madness! What they are saying is: If you believe in evolution, you must believe that man is just another species of animal.

Natural selection only works with the genetic information available and tends only to keep a species stable. How would you explain the increasing complexity in the genetic code that must have occurred if evolution were true?

I admit they made a poor choice using the gun picture. Here is what I would have used:

Christ spoke in parables, yet Christian Biblical literalists exist. Why? And why do they call themselves Christians when they abandon the teachings of Christ? I hope Dante's visions are accurate. They will have much to answer for.
